RU Admission Circular 2025-26

The RU Admission Circular 2025-26 is the main notice for new students. It was published on November 4, 2025. The reference number is G-512-4/2-1 (2025-2026). This circular explains the rules for Rajshahi University Admission 2025-2026.

You must apply online. Go to admission.ru.ac.bd to fill out the form. The website has information in Bangla and English. You do not need any paper forms.

Admission Test Schedule

The RU Admission 2025-26 tests will happen in January 2026. There are two shifts per day.

  • Morning Shift: 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Exam Centers

The tests are held in six major divisions.

  • Unit A and B: Exams are only in Rajshahi.
  • Unit C: Exams are in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Rangpur, Sylhet, and Barisal.

Your specific seat location will be on your Admit Card. Please arrive 30 minutes early. Do not bring mobile phones.

Application Eligibility

Who can apply for Rajshahi University Admission 2025-2026? You must pass SSC in 2024 and HSC in 2025.

General Rules for All Units:

  • HSC Year: Must be 2025.
  • SSC Year: Must be 2024.
  • Subjects: You must pass 5 subjects in SSC and 2 in HSC.
  • Grades: In HSC, you need at least 4 ‘A’ or ‘B’ grades. You cannot have more than 3 ‘C’ grades.

GPA Requirements:

  • Science (Unit C): Minimum GPA 3.50 in SSC and HSC separately. Total GPA must be 8.00.
  • Arts/Commerce (Unit A & B): Minimum GPA 3.00 in SSC and HSC separately. Total GPA must be 7.00.

Special Quotas:

  • Freedom Fighters: There is a quota for children of freedom fighters. You must show certificates later.
  • Madrasah/Technical: Students from these boards can apply if they have the required GPA.

Department Specifics:

Some subjects have extra rules.

  • English Dept: You need good marks in HSC English.
  • Law Dept: Top students face an extra written test.
  • Economics: 40% of seats are for students who studied Economics in HSC.

RU Admission Form 2025-2026

Filling out the form is simple. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Go to Website: Visit admission.ru.ac.bd.
  2. Register: Click “Apply Now”. Enter your SSC and HSC Roll/Reg number.
  3. Get SMS: You will get an ID and Password on your phone.
  4. Login: Use the ID to log in to the student panel.
  5. Fill Info: Check your name and details. Select your Unit (A, B, or C).
  6. Upload Photo: Upload your photo and selfie (rules below).
  7. Payment: Pay the fee using bKash or Rocket.
  8. Download: Save the confirmation copy.

Photo and Selfie Instruction

Your photo is very important. If it is wrong, your application will be rejected.

Photo Rules:

  • Size: 300 x 400 pixels.
  • Background: White.
  • Format: JPG (Max 100KB).
  • Face: Your face must cover 60-70% of the photo.
  • Do not edit the photo with filters.

Selfie Rules:

  • Use the “RU Admission” App.
  • Take the selfie in good light.
  • Do not wear caps, sunglasses, or masks.
  • Both ears must be visible.

Admit Card Download

The Admit Card allows you to enter the exam hall. You can download it after the application closes. Admit Card Download will be started on December 17, 2025 and ended on December 22, 2025.

  2. Login with your User ID.
  3. Click “Download Admit Card”.
  4. Print 2 copies on A4 paper (Color print is best).

Seat Plan

The Seat Plan tells you your building and room number. It is published 48 hours before the test.

How to find your seat:

  1. Go to the website.
  2. Click “Seat Plan”.
  3. Enter your Roll Number.

The plan is final. If you are confused, call the helpline.

RU Admission Test 2025-26

The test is 100 marks. It is an MCQ test. You have 1 hour.

Exam Pattern:

  • Total Questions: 80.
  • Marks per Question: 1.25.
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks cut for every wrong answer.
  • Pass Mark: 40.

Unit Breakdown:

  • Unit A: Bangla, English, and General Knowledge.
  • Unit B: English, Math/IQ, and General Knowledge/Business.
  • Unit C: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics (HSC Syllabus).

Use a black ballpoint pen for the OMR sheet. No calculators are allowed.

Admission Result

Results are usually published 10-15 days after the exam.

  • Result Date: C Unit Result Published on January 23, 2026 and A Unit Result released on January 24. RU B Unit Result has been released on January 28, 2026.

The merit list uses your Test Score (100) + SSC GPA (30%) + HSC GPA (50%).

Subject Choice

If you pass, you must choose your subjects.

  1. Login to the website.
  2. Select up to 10 departments.
  3. Submit your preference list.

This happens in February 2026. Choose carefully!

The final department list comes out in March 2026. You will see which subject you got. You can accept it or wait for migration.

Final Admission

Final admission starts in April 2026. You must go to the university. Bring your original mark sheets and certificates. Classes for the new session start in July 2026.
